As a business owner, there is nothing that says, "you are on the wrong side," like using an autoresponder in your e-newsletter advertising. There are a few different things you can do to set it right, so you can send messages to your list, but it all explains it.
The real challenge for the automatic responder is, in my opinion, the number of people deleted by the term "autoresponder." Now, why in the world would you want an automatic answer, I mean come on, isn't that supposed to be a feature of your website? Now there are people whose auto responders are set to send emails, but for the most part, when people use that name, they think, "I'm crying about spam."
But it doesn't make you spam if you give them a chance to opt in. And in this case, people thought so, because it was a double standard. So the automatic responder simply asked them if they wanted to receive messages from you. The problem is, this is not a long-term solution for your business, because this will actually not give you long-term sales, because people will forget who you are, and they will just get upset, and then get off the list. And when self-regulation occurs, there is nothing you can do about it.
So what are you doing? But you can have an autoresponder, so that your customers can come in and access your autoresponder, and send messages to you as if you were still subscribed. But if that happens, your list of subscribers will explode. And the thing is that they will do it because they actually sign up, and they want to be on your list. So don't allow that to happen to you, and be careful who you trust with your advertising.
Now, I think you are using a WordPress blog, but the idea is the same for any blog. You can find an autoresponder that will automatically follow your blog. It is now clear that if one of your readers had to click that and go to your Facebook fan page, then they would no longer be on your autoresponder list. So be aware that when you use auto responders that you are not making people spam.
A great way to set up an auto reply list is to have a simple webpage, so when someone goes to your website, when they register, and then sign up, one web page will send that person an automatic email sequence. Now there are various ways to use this. And I love this really beautiful one.
Basically what you do, they send you four emails, and then they wait for you to click on one of the four items. If you’re a good friend, then click on the emails, then find Facebook friends, then click on one of your articles (you can write and post articles in the index), and then subscribe to maybe your mailing list. If they come to my place and subscribe to something, then they are sent directly to newsletters. And if they like the article I wrote, they’ll be removing themselves from the list and I will stop sending them emails.
The good thing I get is that if someone subscribes to my mailing list, but they don’t immediately download some of the articles I’ve written, then I won’t send them any newsletters. And the reason is that, if they don’t like my stuff, then they’ll remove it from the list, or click the “Don’t send me anything” link. And if I email them, they won't know they like my stuff, okay, because I won't email them at all. But if they just subscribe but they like my stuff, and they don’t immediately download some of my articles, they’ll download some of my stuff, they’ll like it, and then remove it from my mailing list. I've done this twice, so this is a great way to set this up. And it's very similar, at first it may seem strange, but you will quickly get used to it.
And this is very helpful when you are selling a product. Because let's say you have a product. You also have a web page that talks about the product. It also provides this free report. And everyone who receives free paper, but who does not buy the product, will automatically be removed from their list. However, they will be subscribed to your newsletter permanently, and thus can receive the product whenever you add it.
So you can do that. This will save you email addresses.
